Wednesday 11th October - West Footscray

Met Martin this morning in time for breakfast at a cafe round the corner from my hotel. A quiet start to the day! Mum and Dad were flying out to Hobart today so us kids were left to our own devices!

So Wednesday was a day of collecting trousers from dry cleaners (having been taken up!) and catching the train to Footscray - well Tottenham station actually. Meant I could show Martin the Flemington Race Course - home of the Melbourne Cup and generally let him get some idea of the size of the city. We arrived at the Barkly Street residence in time for Stu to show us round the establishment and encourage us to drink some home brew! Emma returned from work and Stu made us lunch - he has got so versatile in his maturing years!

As you can see from the table we drank a variety of things!! And Stu is trying work the remote control - though I am not sure it links with a jet-lagged Martin!

Stu and Martin - I think they had mix n matched their tops and bottoms - nice touch!

Me n Stu - can't you see the resemblance!

Martin and I headed back to the city about 5ish. Once there we went our separate ways for a few hours, me via the internet cafe for a blog update, and then met again in the Y & J's for a beer and then off for something to eat. Not as good as Bearbrass but ok. Federation Square. Its not square!
